Louise’s most popular patterns L-R: Knit Night, Foolproof, Song of the Sea and Yarn Tamer

Louise’s most popular patterns are ones that have been knit again and again by countless knitters. Knit Night is a smooshy, garter stitch scarf that is easily adjustable to the amount of yarn you have. An option is also given for beads, either a little, or a lot! And Louise’s great tutorial will show you how to add beads easily if you’ve never done it before.

The cryptically constructed Foolproof Cowl was the pattern from the inaugural Inspiration Knits mystery KAL. It, and its beautiful companion the Another Way scarf/ shawl have been enjoyed by many knitters since.  Both patterns can be worked in the yarns and colour combinations given. There is also full guidance for the free spirits amongst you, enabling you to make these accessories in any yarn, using your own stripe pattern. Download the e-book Foolproof Ways to get both these patterns together.

Song of the Sea is a versatile cowl that knits up as lovely, Art Deco waves. The companion shawl, Siren Song was knit and blogged about by the Yarn Harlot. You can also purchase the pattern and materials for Song of the Sea all at the same time from LoveKnitting.

Wondering what to do with that crazy skein of yarn you just had to have? Yarn Tamer might be the answer! This fantastic cowl tames even the wildest skeins with textured stitch to keep things interesting while you knit, and adds a solid colour to help calm things down. Note: Yarn Tamer is only available in the book Knit Play Colour.

Sculptural twisted and cabled textures are set against reverse   stocking stitch panels. This cowl shows off the semi-solid Vivacious  yarn to beautiful effect.

Don’t miss the small cables that add interest at the back. Skills used include working in the round, knitting through the back loop, crossing stitches and cabling. This is a pattern for a good intermediate knitter, or if you’d like to stretch yourself with new techniques.

Leaving ebook.

Featuring the irresistible Leave It To Me hat and beautiful Leave These To Me Mitts, this is a special set.  Both pieces are embossed with elegant leaves. To make it extra special, details are picked out with pretty beads.

Worked seamlessly in the round, this is a beautiful set for an intermediate knitter. Patterns give both charted and written instructions to complete.  Beads are optional, but clear instructions are given so this would make a lovely first beaded project.

This cowl is made all in one piece but worked back-and-forth in rows. There’s no sewing or grafting.  Wondering how? Trust me.

This ebook contains both the long Trust Me With a Twist Cowl (the second Inspiration Knits pattern to hit 1,000 likes on Ravelry) and the snug Trust Me Version.

  1. JUST discovered your beautiful creations! OMG..song of the Sea 1 and [[. Indeed will download thru Ravelry….Exquisite …can’t wait to experience! Dianne Dassa

  2. I just downlaoded Song of the Sea – very excited to get going. Cannot fine yarn beautiful enough as yet…

  3. I purchased the old version of Song of the Sea…am very disappointed in the bind off…problems with rolling. I’ve seen the newer version made up. it’s lovely. How do I get the revision?

    • Hi Glenda, I’m sorry the original bind off is rolling too much. Yes, this is addressed in the revised version. If you bought your pattern via Ravelry, the updated pattern will be in your library. If not, the new version is available on Ravelry.

To help with the project you’ve made, I’m assuming you’ve already wet-blocked it? Blocking helps enormously. If you’ve already wet-blocked it, try steam-blocking it. This often helps stop or reduce rolling when wet-blocking hasn’t worked.

      • Thank you for your response…not all designers will answer an email.  I did purchase from Ravelry and have downloaded the updated version.  I have some gorgeous yarn which I plan to use to knit another Song of the Sea.Glenda— comment-reply@wordpress.com wrote:From: INSPIRATION KNITS <comment-reply@wordpress.com>To: decker@kaballero.comSubject: [New comment] PatternsDate: Tue, 24 Feb 2015 10:35:48 +0000

  4. Hi I bought the Song of the Sea pattern from Woolfest last year, with all the comments about new versions I’m wondering which one I’ve got – its copyright dated 2014.
