The knitting continues, my friends. And with it reflections on which projects to move on to next. It’s been an intentionally quiet time this spring, and I’m truly enjoying it, instead of trying to feel as though I must be constantly rushing to the next thing.
In the meantime the Affinity KAL has been ticking along nicely on the Inspiration Knits board on Ravelry and I wanted to share some of the lovely WIP photos that have been popping up.
Raychball has been zooming along and has finished her Affinity already. I was lucky enough to see this one in person and even though she’s used the same yarn and colours as the sample in the book, it still looks quite different. As Rachel said; “Indie yarns really are one of a kind, even if a dyer uses the same “recipe” more than once.” It’s true!
Bluegrace has also finished her Affinity already. Jean used an assortment of mini skeins paired with a single neutral colour and the combination is one of a kind:

Why use two colours when you’ve an Affinity for more?
As a knitter after my own heart, Monicaza has gone into a beading frenzy with her Affinity. I am absolutely loving how this one is turning out!

And after a false start in DK weight Narapoia has frogged and started over using her own Whimzy Sokkusu O yarn from her stash. Sometimes you need to have a play to figure out how best you want the finished project to turn out. I think this is going to be a beautiful combination:
There’s still plenty of time to join in the KAL as we’ll be knitting along on this project in April too. I really have to get a wiggle on with my own too! Hmmm… might be the perfect bit of knitting for the Easter hols.
And speaking of hols… the kids are off school just now so there’ll be lots of family time around here, if not much posting. Whatever you’re doing over the holidays I hope you enjoy them and get some knitting done too!
